Bathroom Bill Sought in Wichita
On February 14th, 2012, a lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender (LGBT) activist group spoke during the public comment segment of the Wichita City Council meeting. The group used this opportunity to request that the City of Wichita include sexual orientation and "gender identity" in the City's discrimination ordinance.
At this time the Wichita City Council has not acted upon the request. Kansas Family Policy Council continues to monitor this situation and will provide any updates as they unfold.
